Ahoy there. I'm new round these parts and I'll probably be asking alot of dumb questions as I'm new to goofing around with a phone. Either way, this is just my 'Hello'

I suppose I do need a tiny bit of help. For a Samsun x427m, which software should I use to transfer data(ringtones/walls) from my PC to my phone?
Also, how can I make that cingular say something other than Cingular on the top of my phone. I looked around for that for a while but nothing.....

well I have a couple samsung x426's and I use Easy GPRS to upload ring tones, wallpapers, screensavers etc to my phones and it works really well. You can download the latest version directly from samsungs website
www.samsung.com
I believe you will have to will need to flash your phone without a different firmeware version to get rid of the cingular logos. Lots of information about that in the Samsung Manufacturers Forum

for your particular model I dont think you can change that display... it denotes what tower system you are on....
