other... anything but LG I got the LG4015 from ATT I later found out there was a firmware problem and I have to ship it to LG to have them fix it and I have to pay for thier piece of junk phone to get shipped back so they can fix it. that is not the kind of customer care I want out of a company. and of course AT&t will do nothing about it either

3. LG F9100+50$ back
4. Motorola V180+150$ back
5. Nokia 6230+50$ back
6. Sony Ericsson T237+300$ back.
7. Nokia 6010+150$ back
8. LG L1400+60$ back
9. LG C1300+150$ back

You have to be extremely wary of 3rd party web sites selling service. Read the fine print very carefully. Many charge their own activation/early termination fees on top of Cingular's charges. They also often have certain payment requirements. Be sure of what you're getting into before you sign up.
All that being said, I would recommend the LG 1400 or even one of the Nokia's over a Motorola or Samsung phone. They are quite buggy. I have an LG L1200 that I simply love. It is a sturdy, hardy little phone that has given me absolutely no problems. If I had ever have to replace it, it will be with a L1400. Just my 2 cents.

The third party is off of yahoo, i think its called 1800mobiles. I kind of quickly brisked over the terms and conditions, and it looks like its just cingulars activation fee. if anybody has any experience with this site, info would be great.

Hey I just got a LG L1400 about a month or so ago. It's a great phone except for one thing - the battery doesn't seem to last as long as they claim it should. I purchased an extra battery but since they don't have a charger other than the phone itself, it's not much of a help. I wish LG would make a desktop charger for that model...that would be a big help. I was hoping to ditch my landline phone and just use my cell but this makes it a bit more complicated. If anyone has any solutions/suggestions out there I would love to hear them. I'm not very cellular saavy. Like I said, I really like the phone otherwise but can't say anything about the Motorola. Read the reviews on this site - they're a big help. Good luck!
