hi, i'm going to be getting a new phone this week. theres a few phones on cingular that i particularly like. one is the LG L1400 for 20$. another is the motorola v180 for free. i'm i'm just a new phone user, which would be a smarter choice to get. i'm a big fan of the speakerphone on the v180, but i also like some other things on the LG. other phone options include motorola v220 and get 30$, samsung x247 and get 50$, ericsson t237 for free, nokia 6010 for free, or siemens c61 for free, but i'm not a fan of any of those. thanks for the help.

If you have your heart set on cingular I would go with the Motorola v551 $99.99 after 50$ rebate, if you arent looking to spend that kind of money i would go with the LG because im not a big fan of the v180 or the v220. If you dont have you heart set on cingular you could take a look at the Samsung e315 for free or the Motorola V300 & Sharp TM150 for $49.99 w/tmobile on a 1 year contract as oppose to a 2year w/cingular. Definately check to see which provider has better coverage in your area.

If you are just looking for a phone vice a camera or a PDA type of thing (just gonna be making phone calls) just get a lower cost phone... the higher priced models have more bells and whizzers hence the higher price

Well, we're getting a Cingular family plan, so i guess that would mean i have my heart set on cingular.
I just searched on yahoo, and they have other free phones and they give you quite a bit of cash back. I as looking for rankings on these. All come with 2 phones and 2 car chargers, headsets, and belt clips
1. Motorola V551+100$back(So i get 100$)
2. Samsung E317+100$back
3. LG F9100+50$ back
4. Motorola V180+150$ back
5. Nokia 6230+50$ back
6. Sony Ericsson T237+300$ back.
7. Nokia 6010+150$ back
8. LG L1400+60$ back
9. LG C1300+150$ back
10. Samsung X427M+150$
Any sort of input would be greatly appreciated.

flips go with Motorola or Samsung... LG's are known to have channel aquisition issues at times
non flips Nokia or Siemens
if you are going after a higher end phone consider phone insurance
