it used to work perfectly fine for the last couple of months, but then one day all of a sudden it said "no service" and hasnt worked for about 3 weeks now.
i called up tmobile customer service, and they said that they were sending signals to my phone or something, and that it should be working, but it still doesnt.
did anyone finally figure out what was wrong with this dudes phone?
i dont want to have to throw away a perfectly good v80. |
I'm willng to bet that your V80 is a 1900 only device instead of 850/1900
check your available networks... it should tell you if you dont see an 850 network available that is what is going on...1900 is very limited |
hmm...i just dont understand why it would work fine for me for the past year or so, but then suddenly just stop getting signal.
whenever i hit 'search for network' it just says 'searching for network' and then after a while it says 'no network found'
i just bought a cable to hook it up to the computer, so maybe i'll be able to fix it |
So better chng ur mob!!

the v80 does only operate on the 900/1800/1900 mhz frequency. cingular mainly operates on the 850 and they are moving further in that direction as it can provide a greater range of coverage and better in-building penetration than a 1900 tower. if the v80 doesn't work in your area, it's not going to anytime soon.

I just bought a Motorola V80 off of Ebay and I know that I am not the only one that is having this situation but everyone that has this problem is looking for the solution. I contacted Cingular Customer Servive and as always there has got to be something wrong with the Great deal that I got on Ebay. Cingluar hasn't even released this phone, in fact North America for that matter. So please, I need someone who knows what to do!!!!!!
My hubby has the same phone and same problem and he is 1000 miles away.
We are not able to send MMS. I have sent texts, I have sent the little soccer ball picture that came on the phone (the hubby received them). When I try to send it, its almost like the phone is picking up to make a call then hangs up because its the wrong number but very brief. and then it says unable to send. I have tried sending from the bluetooth as well and that didnt work. We have the huge Media Net package from Cingular.
I have set all the browser settings according to the Razor or V3
Any suggestions
Please dont tell me I wasted my money! I want to like this phone....
