I'm looking at the VX6100 and the VX7000 as a replacement for my current phone. I'm up for New Every Two, so either one would be free as of last week. I was originally looking at the VX6000, but the VX6100 seems like a better a phone with more features.
I'm not sure of all the differences between the VX7000 and VX6100. Looking at the info I've found it seems the VX7000 lacks analog and speaker phone. Other than that I can't see much difference, but the VX7000 is still pricier. Is it a better made phone? Do either of them get better reception than the other?
Since they're both free, I guess I can't go wrong either way, but I'd like to get the best phone I can since I'll probably hold on to it for another two years atleast.

I am in the exact situation as you. Looked at both the 6100 and 7000. As you said, the 6100 has analog and speaker phone. Nuff said. I went with the 6100. Ordered 2. Should be here in a few days. I think that I made the right choice.

I believe the difference is that the 7000 will take short clips of video and the 6100 wont. I have a 6100 and I like it except the fact that it seems that verizon has gone to great lengths tho make it really hard to get free stuff for it .

I own one of each, If you want the most features for the buck get the VX6100. It's also smaller than the VX7000
But the VX7000 does video and has a larger screen as well as picture ID on the color outside screen, and the ability to do custom voice tags vs just one tag per contact, so if you put in a cell,home and second cell with the VX6100 they would all have to be seperate contacts in order to voice dial each one. Bottom line the VX6100 gives you more gadgets but the VX7000 gives you more usable features. I just wish it had a speaker phone.

Pros:
- Great screen.
- Great front screen
- Swivel camera comes in handy
- Speakerfone is great
- Outer activation camera
- Love the software
- Feels solid
- Great amount of built in memory
- Picture quality is great
- Lights up with calls
- 27 Keys
- Great signal
Cons:
- No Speakerphone for calls
- Short battery life
- No external memory port
- Video quality is VERY poor
- In low light conditions, pictures come out in a blue hue.
- Camera gets loose after a few months
- Keypad gets pretty hot.
Thats my opinion
