I just made the exact same switch a week ago...from Nextel to Verizon. I did pick up the LG VX7000 (black) for $99 (after rebate) and absolutely love it thus far. I'm not huge into camera phones myself (really no need) but all the reviews of the VX7000 were excellent so I opted to go with it. Good choice in my opinion. It'll take a few days to get used to the navigation compared to Nextel, but it's pretty simple. Call quality is excellent, small enough to fit in your front jeans pocket. Oh, and unlike Nextel...this phone actually gets a signal! When I had my I730 I had to charge it at least every other day, no matter if I used it or not. The battery life on the 7000 is far superior.
I give it two thumbs up for sure. Hope this helps.

dont know how much it costs but would recommend the motrola v265 unless you want a high quality camera because this seems to be on the lower end but its a great phone.
