I need some advice: I bought a Sony Ericsson T610 on eBay to replace my old T-mobile phone, but it crashed and I can't get it to work again. I tried all of the reset options and nothing worked; I think it might need a factory reset with new firmware. (The phone now crashes every time you make a phone call.)
What's the best way to get this fixed? My local T-mobile store wouldn't help me because I didn't buy it from them.
I'm willing to pay to have it repaired, but obviously I don't want to spend more than I have to. And anything above $50 would not be worth it; I can probably get more than $50 for it on eBay, even broken...
Thanks in advance...

I think that Sony Ericcson charges anywhere from 50-150$ depending on the model for repairs. It will prob be cheaper to replace.

OR... as long as T-Mobile still does repair on the T610 (which I dont know if they do) then you could put in a repair order I believe they charge 70$ but the repair takes 6-10 weeks I think.... Yeah you can prob buy off ebay for cheaper. Sucks buying from someone other then a dealer though because you dont get any warranty and manufacturers warranties only extend to the original purchaser of the phone.

The warranty information is in the users guide if there is no physical or liquid damage the handset can be replace the warranty is only good for one year on handsets, if you do decide to replace the handset remember that downloaded features are in the handset not the sim card and numbers that were stored to the handset are not transferable you'll have to download features at your cost

The phone was purchased off ebay. The manufacturers warranty is only good for the original purchaser of the phone and does not extend to anyone else. The only way that dmazzoni could possibly get around that would be by obtaining proof of purchase for the handset.

You can go to ebay again and buy the firmware software and dongle for about US$25 and reflash your phone and it will work. Done it myself.
