I have a friend who lives in Europe and i cant send text messages or call him cos i do not know how to enter the + symbol infront of the number.
Dont know what model my phone is...(got it as an anniwersary present)
So when i ad a new number to my phone how do i ad the symbol infront of the number?
Or is there a way around it?

Look at the keypad on your phone. There will be one key (its almost always the "0" key) with a plus sign on it. Press and hold that key until the + shows up (it will take a second or two depending on your phone).

There should be a menu key with "abc" or something on the screen when entering contacts. If you select that menu one of the choices will be for symbols - select if from there by pressing the keypad number it is assigned to.
