Anyone have the latest firmware upgrades for the V80?
Just curious, why don't the manufacturers just post firmware updates on there websites? And since they don't do that, how do people acquire the firmware?

It does not change your phone to German. You may have to go into messages > new message > setup > and then change the primary/secondary entry modes into English, but the menus are not German.

Flashing/Flexing voids your warranty, so doing so is a risk you are willing to take. If you mess up and can't turn your phone on all the way, pull the battery (known as a "Hard Shock" to some tech's) and try holding * and # down and then pushing the power button. If that doesn't work, try the two soft keys on top of the phone, just to either side of the menu key. Then plug your phone in and try to flash again. Those combinations of keys load the phone's flash mode, and should help you if something has gone wrong."
"But if, after all of this, you still can't get anything, you are probably out of luck. This means you can't flash back for warranty purposes, nor can you turn the phone on."
ne one knows if this works 4 the v80?.. my v80 does not boot up. the keyboard jus comes on 4 a couple secs. i have never done ne flashing or firmware updates to the phone. it just froze and never booted up again. need help plz
