You are 100% correct. I just got back from Tmobile and exchanged mine for a circular chip on the SIM card and it works 100% now. THANKS

After reading this, I called my local T-Mobile store. They swore that they've had nothing but trouble with oval cards, and they've never heard of one working where a square one wouldn't. Yet, the guy at the store said he's willing to try it.
Before I went, I checked my other T-Mobile phone and discovered that it did "indeed" have a oval card. I switched it in, and it worked without any problems.
So. the newer "square" patterns don't seem to work with the E630.
Although my local T-Mobile store doesn't have any more "oval cards", he said that he could swap the information between my two existing (round & squre) simm cards using the "Simm Recorder" in the store.
Thanks for the great info!

P.S. I should say "Oval Simm Contacts Layout" and "Square Simm Contacts Layout". The cards are all the same rectangular shape with a dog ear.
If you call your t-mobile store, make it clear that you are talking about the pattern of the contacts on the simm card when you say "Round/Oval" or "Square".
