i installed mobile phonetools and all the updates, i connect my phone it dosnt have motorola V180 on the list so i just chose general. Now i try to put a song on there for a ringer, i used mp3 file, and it gives me an error and says "unsupported format- no conversion possible". Does any one know what this means?, and how would i change the phone type, ive tried to change it to see if i can find the v180 and i have no idea how to change my type of phone

I named it a couple of different times, i saved it as a .wav .mp3, i tryed using a program called mp3cutter to just get a bit of the song, then i tried the whole song, nothing would go through

i didn't mean the file type....leave that as it was
i meant the title in case it had any special characters in....
email me & i'll send a tone that works...just to make sure it's the song and not the program.
if mPT doesn't have your phoe on the screen...it's not loaded the correct drivers for it.... press F6 communication>change modem and locate your phone manually from the list. (don't allow windows, it can't find anything except every bug going)

Do you have your specific phone selected for ur profile? cause thats the problem i had and i got the same error message. "press F6 communication>change modem and locate your phone manually from the list. (don't allow windows, it can't find anything except every bug going)"

Hi!
I'm using motorola v220 and trying to transfer clips to my phone. I'm getting the same message (unsupported format - no converstion possible).
Where do I press F6? I'm very computer illiterate!
Will you kindly email me?
Thanks so much for your patience!!!

enable your email under profile settings.
F6 is the function key on the top row of your keyboard layout.
