Rather, it is a Cingular constant and unfortunatly the only way to get rid of it is to change carriers. Join my plight and complain about their extremely inefficient customer service and hopefully we can chenge them for the better. |
customer care reps are not permitted to respond to customer emails... there is a contact us link at the website

I recieve Emails from them quite often so I dont see how that can be the case. I think that if they are involved in a case with you they are permitted to Email you back, especially mamagement. Also I tried the website. It tells you to log-in and then click the contact us link. After doing so it kept on telling me I needed to log-in. I dont know if that part of the site was not functional when I tried or if I was doing it wrong, but I could not get it to give me an address.

set up your on line account (register) it free....
the question as I understood it was if I recieved an email out of the blue from a customer I have never talked to... could or would I help them... first of all I couldnt do anything until i VERIFIED your acount... meaning are you who you say you are or have permission from the account holder to access or change the account/service....
your average email will not match that protocol...
even if it does... I work an inbound call center... I answer the phone... the contact us link goes to e-care... they answer emails for a living...
those email responses actually have to clear legal before they are sent....
I hope this heightens your understanding

Cingular has no link to on the website for emailing customer service.
The reps I talked to didn't know this, they said, log on, register its free. One looked for me for a awhile and then suggested I just send my inquiry through the "check your order online request"
I had received an email a few weeks ago from customer service and was unable to reply(even though they asked me to reply via email). They must have eliminated the the email help center.
Anyway the john.doe@cingular works! and the supervisior emailed me back.

The customer service is terrible compared to AT&T. The rep played the old trick of putting me on hold while she said she would fix my problem then came back 20 minutes later with the same answer she had given me in the first 5 minutes of the call. She did this for 21/2 hours, of course I fell for it everytime. I think she was just going out for smoke breaks. |
for the newest version of the website you have to sign up for an online account first...when you are inside there is the aformentioned link

Elmo I think Mk may be right. I have an account and while logged in I am still unable to access the email function. In fact when I click on the link, it actually brings me to an area with access numbers on it. At this point I found that I am actually logged out. So clicking on the link brings you out of the members area. I will have to try the order status email

I've had an online account for awhile and looked inside and out and can't find a link that works.Wrangler is right, it just sends you around in a little circle.
Let me know if you find one.
I tried the "check your order online route" no luck
but under "about us" then "meet us" they have a general link to the president and the VP's, I haven't had repsonse yet, but its only been one day.

Just a little FYI on this issue. We will not accept emails from outside individuals nor are we able to send emails out to customers. Doing this, creates a security issue.
Please keep this in mind.
The only circumstance is coming from a High Level Area Manager. CSR's do not have this access.

Thanks for clearing that up. I now realize that I was actually talking to a high lvl manager when I was given that option.
