Ok, I'm in cs too, just not cel phones. My phone lost internet svc. 2130Friday night. CS doesn't open til 9am, Iam on the phone, we go through all the settings,-no[ G ],no connection, 4 bars of signal strength. CSR contacts Tech who says there are no known outages of GPRS in my area.CSR says its a phone issue, hooks me up w/ warranty. I work nites, went to bed @ 1100, woke up @1730 GPRS works,I'm accessing medianet,Opera Mini v. 2.0 and 3.0beta flawlessly (I'm using 3.0 right now).CSR fault? I dont think so. Diagnostic error-probably, I would like to talk to tech support.>:l Get my new phone Tuesday. This is frustrating. I don't think I need a new phone. No point to this post,really. Just wanted to show sometimes its not the CSRs fault.

Called them 0900 Sunday, they're closed on Sunday!

Some Cingulars are open this Sunday coming.. I know I am working and getting paid lots extra (plus free pizza at lunch!!). Woo hoo.

Cingular is a gigantic company with thousands of tech support employees [so they claim]
So, there is no good reason they cannot provide 24/7/365 tech support.
Well, there is one reason: they don't want to.

the support is there... the after hours support team ... they are there for tech support only and to handle lost / stolen phones.. they wont do billing.. if you call listen to the whole recording, at the end you'll hear the number to call

Yup
I've had to call them a lot of the time - they can remove and add features, but billing isn't going to happen.
Also, I would kill someone if I had to come in on a sunday
