hi just purchased a D500 serial data cable, installed easy studio v2.0 cant get it working doesnt show no ports at all

please be aware that if you purchased an aftermarket serial cable, it may or may not work. i've read other posts stating that it actually ruined the phone (usb's mostly). aside from that, what ports are available under 'device manager'? just needing some more info to help you mate. i've had that problem before, i uninstalled and reinstalled the software. it fixed it but there may be another way to fix it, but that worked for me. also, your d500 will only work with easy studio v2.0. if you have easy gprs or easy studio v1.0 installed right now, you will have to unistall all of them (easy gprs and both versions of easy studio). i'd reboot just to be sure, then install easy studio v2.0 only. see if that fixes your problem. hope that helps.

uninstalled everything and reinstalled pims and filemanager again v2.0 still nothing, i have COM1 and LTP1 in device manager

I also have this problem - EasyStudio2 wont show any ports in the setup menu. I heard a rumour that this version will only show virtual ports created by USB and the like, but i dont see how that can be right.
Any one have any ideas ?
