My Battery on my LG 6100 is SOOO GAY! lol... I charge it over night, and when I get in my car from work the next afternoon, the battery is like dead.. and it never usually does that, but recently it has been.. Is there a reason for this? Should I get a new battery or something?

Im guessing you need a new battery. When you get one be sure to charge it all the way up for 24 hours the first time. then use it all the way till it dies, charge it all the way without disruption(phone calls OK just dont unplug while charging). Repeat that charge die process at least 4 or 5 times and it will increase the life of your battery a substantial amount. (this has worked on every phone Ive ever had) I personaly try to use my phone till it dies every time. I ve never had a problem with a battery crapping out since I had a old school nokia.

Just a quick note here in regards to charging and "killing" the battery on the 6100 (or any phone with a Lithium Ion battery)...
One of the chief benefits of the L-Ion batteries (besides their longevity) is that they do not have a "charge memory" like older Ni-Cads. With a Ni-Cad, the process of completely charging the battery, then completely draining it WOULD increase the life and charge hold time. Not so with the L-Ions.
You can (in theory) recharge a L-Ion battery every night without affecting its ability to hold a charge. It is also my understanding that completely draining L-Ion batteries is not recommended. It can, supposedly, permanently damage the battery. I think that's one of the reasons that most of the newer phones will turn themselves off before the battery is completely dead.

The 3 month old battery for my VX6100 won't hold a charge, which is no big deal and I called LG to ask them to send me a replacement and I'd then send them the defective one. But they said only way they would honor warranty is if I sent ENTIRE PHONE to them NOW, and not expect to receive it back for 10-14 days. Yes, they want me to give up my cell phone for two weeks instead of sending me a replacement battery - every other electronics vendor will send first and expect to receive old one back by return mail (with or without perhaps putting a temporary holding charge on a credit card). Worst experience and attitude I've ever had from an electronics company.

I "upgraded" to an LG 6100 in October 2005. My battery life was about 3-4 days when I purchased it. A few months ago, it started loosing the charge after being used minimum time after about 2-3 hours! I took it up to Verison and they said my battery was "swollen" and told me it was my fault since it was being charged too long. (It kept loosing the charge so, of course, I had to keep charging it!). They DID replace the battery at no charge but now the display on the front of the phone won't come on or only shows a part of the display. I think they phone is starting to go bad. My mother got the same phone at the same time and is having the same problems. I just found out that my sister-in-law that has the same phone has already had to PAY to have the phone replaced since she hasn't had it more than a year to use her $100 credit. It died on her due to the same reasons. I'm very upset that Verison pushed this phone on us and said it was one of the older phones but it was a GREAT phone with no problems in the past...reliable. I don't have warranties on them but I think their might be some type of warranty, year? Does anyone know? I'll get in touch with Verison. I don't want to loose all my downloaded songs and pictures. Has there been a recall on this phone by any chance?
