Hate to disagree with my twin ICON, but I suggest you search around the forum regarding using MPT for transfering ringtones a bit more. Basically without MPT you can transfer an MP3 audio clip ok and play it, but it probably will not be tagged correctly for your phone to recognize it as a possible ringtone to choose. Seems to be a common complaint with folks that can transfer and play mp3 clips ok, but can't select them as ringtones. Answer seems to be "use MPT" in most instances I can recall.
Definitely agree regarding the BT dongle. You can get more use with it with other devices than just your phone, plus may have to avoid buying yet more usb cables if the phone-side part of the connection is different on your next phone, but it supports BT.

Okay. I picked up the BT dongle. It works great. Anyone know how to get at the voice recordings? I can get at the midi, photos, and video, but there is no folder for voice recordings...

For this you'd need the more "Advanced" editors. Say p2ktools or p2kman to retrieve the voice recordings. Those are not intended for removal via MPT.

Assuming you are using Windows XP.
- Click the Start menu and select My Computer
- If you don't see a "My Bluetooth Places" after your folder and drive info, then you most likely don't have bluetooth built in. Just need to buy a simple Bluetooth USB device to add it to your computer.

I took a quick peek at Dell. Didn't state that BT was built-in for your model. Look at the reply to shernirnberg1 for how to check for sure. Otherwise you will have to get BT or a USB cable for your phone.

As far as I read your OK with internal BT, as netkent said if bluetooth places is not there then you may not. Also if you don't use the BT it may just as well be disabled for battery life protection.

both are absolutely correct about the BT being the better purchase. i can use it with my v551, my t610; and now my t637 too
i have a Mac upstairs and a PC downstairs, and i use the same USB BT adapter for both, and use (only) iTunes for all Mp3 needs (playing, organizing, sending to iPod, and paring down to 30 sec clips at 48 kbs for use as ringtones) and just pop the new files onto my phones and i have never had any problems
Bluetooth is like a god to me.
now all i need is that f***in AWESOME sony ericsson BT remote control car for the t610/t637; and a BT remote car starter for my real car

BT is only good for simple things, if you plan to take your phone to the next step I strongly advise against it. USB cable is a firm and steady connection and unshakable in a sense. So there it is if you want just ringtones pics and movies then BT if you want to be able to seem edit flash/flex phones for either yourself or others, USB.
