im in the US and im wondering if i can buy a sony ericsson T616 and put in a at&t sim card? would it still work? and i heard something about unlocking the phone to do this...can some1 please explain to me

If you buy the phone FROM AT&T then just put your SIM card in and it'll work (that's what I did.) If you buy it from somewhere else it has to be unlocked in order to switch network providers.

bought an unlocked t616se and just swapped the ATT sim from my T68i. Easy Easy

Strange how can you still use the t616 if it runs on different frequencies than the t610? Plus the t610 was intened for use in europe...but that would be really cool if it would work.

I just bought a cingular t616 yesterday and i have ATT. Well the phone itself is perfect, but i cant test message, use mmode, or even access WAP. Does anyone know how to fix this???? i really need the help because i sell cell phones and this info would be nice to know, thanks

Do you have the MMode subscription? Check your WAP config?
I get all of the above working with AT&T with my brand new T616.
