Hi,

I have flashed my dutch T-Mobile Samsung e700 with firmware e700xadg1 (I thought that was the newest). But I want to get rid of the startup and shutdown sound! The animation has changed in a Samsung one, but I don't want the loud sound with it! How do I change that?

i dont have the e700 but in my phone (e715), it is just an option under the sounds menu. does that option not exist in the e700?

like i814u2 said there should be an option under sound setting on that phone (atleast there has been with every samsung phone I ever had), if not and its driving you nuts you can edit with Januka to a different sound.

How to edit out start up and shut down sounds with Januka:

1. Download MOT2BIN (search google)
2. Download januka
3. Use MOT2BIN to convert the firmware (e700xadg1) to a bin file
4. Open Januka
5. File>open>bin file you just made
6. Select the Polyphonic Ringtones tab in Januka
7. Select Firmware Scan tab
8. Search out start up and shut down tone in list of sounds
9. replace with alternate mmf file that you have on your PC
10. Save
11. Flash saved ring tone mods with Downloader 3.3 to your E700

Note: You will only be able to replace the start up and shut down tones with a sound file of equal or smaller size
