Alright gent's and ladies, I've googled the web over and over to figure out what I came accross on my phone but I haven't been able to figure it out. first off my LG 6000 has locked me out of the phone, and I've tried everything I'm tempted to sit down and go through every combination of numbers till I get the right number simply because I need a address in it and I can't get to it. so I was actually looking to see if there was a way to unlock the 4 digit code there on the LG 6000, while searching though I did find that my 3200 has a few secrets as well. I know that if you goto menu and press 0 it brings up a service code thing, I've seen over and over again 000000 I've tried that and every other number and nothing works perhaps I am going to have to sit down and try every number possible there as well. Anyways tips on both of these would be appreicated I'm a curious lass and would like some help!

Did you try 0000 or the last four digits of your cell phone #?

I have both a 3200/6000 and 000000 works for service mode. Unlock is always the last four of your phone number, unless you manually went in and changed it. To find your unlock code get bitpim .
In bitpim:
1. To find your unlock code. Open BitPim, Click on the + in the filesystem, click on the + next to nvm, click on the + next to the nvm in the new filetree, right click on nvm_0002 and select hexdump.
2. In the 8th down will be a four digit number. This is your unlock.

You are great, as far as unlocking my phone it turned out to be a number that I didn't know about, what was crazy is I was talking to my mom when I opened it and typed it in, and unlocked it, then turned around and locked it again to see if I could remember the number and i couldn't so I synced it up to the computer, and found 3045... now a question, I seen 000000 right above that, is that the service code, once your in the service menu whats all that stuff in there and whats it do? I heard of 'unlocking' your phone, to work on any network, whats that mean, and can we do this to our LG's? and whats the benifet of this.??

Yes, you can unlock your LG's phone. Today a lot of service providers (Cingular, T-Mobile...etc) 'lock' or program their phones to only work with SIMs issued by their company. "Unlocking' means reversing that programming so that it can work with any SIM. If you need to find out more about it...please email me.

I'm new to this whole cell phone thing.
What is bishopnet?
I have a VX6100 and a VX3200. The service code for the 6100 is all zeros. For the VX3200, it is not all zeros. How do I find out what the service code is?
How would I get this from my verizon tech? Do I just call customer service?
Thanks
