I have been wondering what the difference between the two are, and this week I tried both and have now come to a conclusion. The phone I was using was a v600 with the E9 Flex.

From what I have found when I had the 4FR flash on I was getting HORRIBLE reception. I would put the phone in my pocket and it would lose all reception and would take 5 minutes after taking it out of my pocket to find one again, and it did this no matter where I was. The 45R flash doesn't suffer from this, but I have found it has a slightly worse batter life.

So its up to you, while neither has anymore features or has faster menus or anything you can choose between battery life (4FR) or reception (45R)

Thanks for the info. I was going to try the 4FR from having the .45r. I have heard the 4fr is more stable. I wonder now.....

Or was it the 4ar flash that was newer? Hmm.

Lol, I'm not sure about 4AR never heard of it, but after using the 4FR im severely dissappointed. Put it in my pocket and it loses all signal. Not good seen as I find reception VERY important on a phone.

I ran .4fr with no issues like that.....currently my v600 is running .72r...

I have .4ar if you wanna try it.... This is what Cingular refurbs are coming with.....

I've put .55R on my v600 and therefore can not revert back to .4AR and wouldn't want to. I really like .55R

Can anyone else confirm or deny that 45r seems to have better reception than 4Fr? I'm currently using 4Fr, but curiosity is killing me icon_smile.gif

Yeah, it would be nice actually, it may have just been my phone, but those were my results, can anyone confirm them?

I had .45r and am using 4fr now. I see no difference in reception between the two.

It maybe of the phone and the area inwhich you live in. I always think that the reception depends on the area with cell towers and not necessary the phone itself.

It has been over a week with 4FR. No problem so far.
