SIm disabled could mean 2 things, one your sim code is locked, 2 your sim is defective, you will get your phone back once you call cingular, i had this problem with a phone 2 weeks ago! And if they cant fix it they will tell you to take it to a cingular store and they will put it on a card reader, a defective sim is their fault so it will cost no
money to you, the faster the better

I have a number of v180 questions that I hope you can help with:
First, I unlocked my phone using the instructions provided by the MotoAide website and all seems to be working fine except that somewhere along the way the display has been screwed. I get columns and row of charecters oh the display but if I play around with the keyboard enough it will evntually return to the correct display....any ideas as to why this is and how to get rid of it? I suspect that the startup graphic is scred or something like that.
Secondly, I keep reading about upgrading the Flash, can you tell me what the best/latest flash is that I can get for the v180? If you have can you email them to me?
Thanks for your help

What is your cell phone carrier? You may need to flash your phone. How long have u had the phone, how did you unlock your phone, did u use a program, you have the cable right.

I have a motorola v180 and I have a usb cable. I have p2kman and all that stuff as well (these forums taught me all of it). I managed to get a custom wallpaper on the phone phone with no problem, but here is my problem. I make custom ringtones and transfer them. I can play them in the sounds part of the phone and listen to them on the phone. I hit apply as ringtone and it says ringtone changed and all that, but when I call the cell it receives the call but makes no noise. I'm so confused. If it can play it why cant it be a ringtone. Any help would be amazing. Thanks.
P.S. all the other ringtones work fine in all ways

you need MPT, p2kman... for most phones just gives you the ability to listen to the tone on your phone not assign as ring tones.

Agree. I also used Mobiledit as for to me it is the best. Smooth, universal, complex, extendable.
