Broken 928 for an easy fix cingular will replace the sim card the first time for free - just take it back to the store you bought it. (You might be able to go to any cingular store though, I would call first.) The next time they are gonna charge you 25 bucks.

My dad gave me his old Motorola V180 phone that was origonally from t-mobile. I have cingular and when i put in my sim it asks for a Subsidy Code. What is this and how could i solve the problem, preferably without paying for it.

You need either MPT or PST for drivers.

You can find them by using google. PST will be easier to find. You can buy MPT on ebay or from motorola.

Open Motokit v1.06 its free, you can search google. Its in another lang, but you can convert it to english by choosing the third tab on the menu bar go down to the second listen and 1033-us english. Now when you have your v180 unplugged from the computer click on menu settings under the vseries tabe to the left of the screen, now plug your phone up, and youll see that tab dissapear now click launch it will say "phone mismatch, are you sure you want to continue" click continue, now look for the name netsessions menu and check the box beside it, click the first botton at the bottom it looks like this E p! but the p is backwards click that and it will say restart click yes and your sessions will now be unlocked. |
Funny, I have a v600 and motokit keeps saying it's not connected. Guess this isn't working either.

lofton 316 ,
Norton internet security tends to do that , when some programs are trying to run scripts that happens sometimes , no worries if u know thats coming from motorola just accept it and that should do it.
regards.
