When i lost my phone, that meant everying thing was gone, i lost the sim card along with the 100 number listing icon_cry.gif phone book in the phone, i was so mad. So when i got my new phone it was emtpy of course, there was no way i could remember all of those numbers, so i remembered that made a back up of my phone book using mobile phonetools, but i had installed phonetools dozens of times, so i did a system restore a few time and searched for the cvs file and restored my phone, the moral of this story is that if you have a data cable and mpt, back up your phone book, im glad i did. You can by a data cable on ebay for a low price, the wireless store brands range from 24.99 to 50+ icon_mad.gif so it would be better to get one cheep, and dont be fooled by those stores that cell mobile phone tools for $99.99 its not even worth it at that price, you can get it half of that price at a real wireless store

So you brought a tmobile or other unlocked phone that has their websessions locked icon_cry.gif so now you cant use your wap service with your preferred servie provider, but now you can, well you been can with seem editing but not that many people know how to use seem editing or even p2kman well there is an easy way around this, if you have a data cable, then your in luck, using motokit v1.06 you can unlock your websessions file. Open Motokit v1.06 its free, you can search google. Its in another lang, but you can convert it to english by choosing the third tab on the menu bar go down to the second listen and 1033-us english. Now when you have your v180 unplugged from the computer click on menu settings under the vseries tabe to the left of the screen, now plug your phone up, and youll see that tab dissapear now click launch it will say "phone mismatch, are you sure you want to continue" click continue, now look for the name netsessions menu and check the box beside it, click the first botton at the bottom it looks like this E p! but the p is backwards click that and it will say restart click yes and your sessions will now be unlocked.

I hated having to keep deleting my text messages on my v180 , it filled up real quick, that was because it was stored on the sim card, so using motokit or motorola tool i was able to switch where the sims were stored, i choose to store them on the sims card and now i can have passed 60 text messages with out deleting them.

Hello,

I'd be interested in hearing exactly what seem edits worked with the v180 and if you tried some that did not.

Also, when I try to use Motokit, I get a big, scary warning about malicious scripts from Norton Internet Security. I have never experienced that with any other software. If I choose block, as NIS recommends, the program shuts down.

I've used MPT, p2kman, mobiledit, and hooked up to PST.

Thanks!
