Hi there, I have a SE t610 and I really like the calling card feature: you can store calling cards and pin numbers once and for all, so when you want to make a calling card call, you don't have to remember the pin number etc. Just select the number you want to dial and chose "use calling card" - the SE automatically dials the calling card number, enters your pin and dials the number you wish to call.
I'm in the market for an upgrade - are there any other SE phones out there that also have this feature? I can't find this information online and there are no decent phone shops in my hood, so I can't go try it out.
Thanks!

After research about "Calling cards", I found that many new Sony Ericsson models have removed the useful "Calling cards" function, including S700, K600, K700, K750i, v600i, v800, and their varieties, like S710.
Disappointed, and annoyed, and surprised. Strange enough why Sony Ericsson remove that useful feature!
Is there another simple way to send three long numbers one by one with only pressing 2 to 3 times?
i.e. any alternative way of "Calling cards"? Is there any speed dialing combination can do that?

I ended up going the Samsung route and getting a D500 after I called SE and was informed that they had removed the feature from their newer phones. The D500 has the send DTMF feature which is similar to using calling cards, but is not as automated as what SE had. What I did was to duplicate the numbers I was calling and store them with numerical names: the phone number of the calling card company was stored under the name "1", the pin number was stored under the name "2" and the number I usually call with the calling card was stored under the name "3". That way it was easy to get to them using the DTMF feature since these numbers appear at the top of the phonebook.
To me, no calling card feature didn't make SE outstanding any longer, so I tried something new.
Hope this helps.

wow, you are more cautious than me.
I thought the "Calling card" is a basic function and will of course be carried over to newer phones.
Without making a call to SE like you did, I bought a v600i. But I was quite disappointed and annoyed after I found the "Calling card" is not there !
What a damn decision of removing it!

There's this application called CallingCardDialer available for phones with Java capabilities (mostly the ones that support MIDP 2.0) available at pocket download
I've got on my phone (K700i) and it works very well.

The K700 and W800 offer the same java API and versions.
Can you specify what exactly is not working ? I could help you.

What you are saying is to complicated. There is a card that will allow you call with pin less dialing. Go on nobelcom.com and check it out as they have 10 minutes for free

It looks like we are going around in circles, we want to phone normally, we also want to use calling cards, but we also want to use those calling cards like a nomral call, no pins...

So I think I found a clue to resolving the lack of calling card functionality.
During a call, if you go to the contacts list, and select a contact, and click on more, you get an option called "Send DTMF Tones". So during a call to your calling card's access number, you can send the DTMF tones of your card number then the DTMF tones of the person you are calling.
Cumbersome. ANyone got a way to streamline this action?
