Hi everyone, I recently bought a Motorola A1000 and didn't relise the 3g network blocked access to the internet unless it's on there own network. Does anyone have an idea how I can get my phone unlocked for browsing the internet.
Regards

I had my A1000 unlocked by a fellow in California. 25 USD. Just google unlock a1000 and you will get a bunch of hits. The only ones that work are the ones that you send the phone to.

Hi,
Thanks for the info. I will check this out and see whether I can get my phone sorted.

...if by sorted you mean "send the phone to and never hear from again".

Hello how are you, well I also have the motorola a1000 and it was also locked to the 3 network. I have the software which I can sell to you if you are interested. I would tell you to send me the phone but I really doubt that. But what this software does is whipes out your current settings and reinstalls the OS without the 3 network on it. So basically it is giving you a brand new Motorola A1000 with no 3 network setting on it at all. You will even get their default wallpaper on the Launcher section of the phone. Some icons on the phone will also be different. Once I did this to my phone everything worked from internet access, text messaging, mms messaging and POP email access. If interested you can reach me at nando77034@yahoo.com
Good Luck!
