I have a samsung X-426 that I have been trying to unlock. I know it is the new model that requires unlocking software to unlock the phone. I bought a USB cable to connect the phone to my computer. I instaled the drivers for the cables. I run the winIMEI. I choose the correct COM port. The problem arrises when I hit the button "RD IMEIsetting". Right there windows gives me an error message and closes winIMEI.
What is the problem. Is it the cable or am I doing something wrong??
Please help

Your phone is probably locked out and need tools to unlock it. Pls email me.

Use Cerebros... Prob the easiest unlocking program to use.

Yes, use Cerebros, and make sure you have the right cable (Unlocking cable.) The data cable will not work. You can download Cerebros from:

Have you got any idea why cerebros did not work on my fone? by the way winiemi did the tricks, but i would like to leran and figured out how to use cerebros.

If WinIMEI worked on your phone then you have the right setting for the cable. Cerebros should work also with no problem. Only Cerebros does not have all the phones listed. For X426, X427, etc. Just choose Q100 and it should work. Try it twice on the phone. Unplug the phone from the cable, disconnect the battery then start the phone.

Any setting in Cerebros should unlock the phone as long as while you have the phone attached to the cable you can select the Write IMEI tab (not fadded out). Have unlocked X426's with Q100, Q105, A200 & T100. Its my belief that almost every setting will work with the X426 and most other Samsung models (this extends to IMEI rewriting also).

Can somebody help with unlocking Samsung AT&T X426. I dont know what version it is, but i want to use it in the UK. It is a dual band, and is it possible to be used over here.

No, it can't be used in UK since UK is 900/1800 but X426 is 850/1900.
