With sprint and cingular they take you to the cleaners for there internet data services that you can use with you laptop etc. with sprint there is a flaw where you can just buy the cheep vision packet and dial up and use it unlimitedly. i was wondering if you could do the same with cingular using the Media works package. instead of paying the outragous 80 dollars a month for internet. i have heard of this so i am also wondering if you could send me in the right direction on how to do it. any help is appreciated.
Thanks

If there is one, I want in on it. Currently, I am paying $20 a month for unlimited access. I have heard Cingular cap it. It is 3MB per month now.

Have you checked into Verizon data plans? I think right now, the CDMA service has more bandwidth than GSM.

MediaNet only gives you internet access from your phone. It does not allow using your phone as a modem for your laptop. The cheapest data plan that allows you to use your phone as a modem is $24.95 for 10MB. Unlimited Data is $79. I just switched from unlimited MediaNet to the 10MB data plan.
