Me and my aunt want to get a family plan. Im and immigrant, she is a citizen. She recently seperated from uncle and moved to an apartment and instead of a house phone she rather have a cell phone. She was an at-home mom so now she is working a domestic job, and we both have no credit, all i have is a checking account, no credit card just debit. We call several local cell phone places, and all said that we can only get sprint with a 125 deposit or if we really want t-mobile we would have to deposit like over 5 bills. Any suggestions?

You can both get a smartaccess account and as long as you have good payment history after one year you could consolidate the two account by doing a COR and then start a family time plan.

I havent found anything on the t-mobile site about smart access, but i search info about it. However, in none of the sources it says that we are going to have to deposit 500, only that not to pass 150 dollars which means try not to overpass minutes or write tons of messages. So with this smart access plan, we do not have to deposit 500 each, right? And one last question before i go to a t-mobile store, are ya sure i can get a smart access plan on my own, im an immigrant college student, not a citizen or resident yet, no SS.

Dear mvc:
It is not my intention in any way to contradict Samsung at all (we pretty much see eye-to-eye), but please understand that even with a 'Smart Access' rating (which is classified as either a 'T' or a 'Q' credit class rating) a ss number is a MUST! There is no way of getting around it. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. However, please understand that absolutely ANYONE can act as a 'co-signer' for the account, meaning... if you know of someone, regardless of who they are (family member, friend, even an employer, yes!) with good credit that would be willing to open the account in your behalf with their credit info, then this might be a viable option. Just thought I'd pass along the info....
Hope all works out well,
Wayne
