I finally did it. I never liked my V600 and now that's moot. I was in a hurry and I dropped my phone in the sink full of water. It got completely submerged. The phone lights up now but the screen stays dark. I can't send it to Motorola because they don't cover water damage. Anybody need any parts? I bought a V551 and I actually like it better (it doen't look as cool,but...). BTW the little white dot under the battery turns red when wetted. I'd seen this posted before, but now I have confirmation. That's how they tell if they'll fix it.
Any ideas what to do with my ex-V600?

My friend got his phone to work after he dropped it in the toilet after doing his buisness. Still works. Just don't play with it for a day or two until its dry. Otherwise you might short it out.

Yea, It's too late (I guesss). I've been messing with it, so if that was wrong, I blew it. I did get the screen to say something about a re-boot, but that was right after it happened. Now it's black. It's only been a day, so, we'll see. When I bought the V551 the Cingular guy said once I switch phones I can never use the v600 with them again(?). He said to get it un-locked and sell it on E-bay(provided I can get it to work). Go figure.
Thanks, MauiCat

I'm going to come clean; it wasn't the sink, it was the toilet it fell in. There wasn't anything in there yet, thankfully. I really didn't feel like using it again anyway.

It is 1:30a.m.p.t. I decided if I already screwed up my phone I'd check on the drying out progress. It's working again! Amazing!
Now according to the Cingular rep. I had, I can't use it with Cingular anymore. I wonder if I take back my new one like I don't like it and say I want to re-activate my old one ,if they'll let me.
The camera still doesn't work, but everything else does. Too bad I already re-did my contacts on my new phone. Ain't life a bi***.
