Phone Model: US Cellular |

Two years ago I moved out of VerizonWireless' service area and provided the company with legal documentation (mortgage contract, new cell phone service contract for USCellular, new house phone number, light bill, insurance statement, etc.) in person at my former local sale's office as well as certified mail to the district office. I was assured by 4 people and by US mail that I would receive a final bill and not be charged the cancelation fee because I had provided the documentation.
To date, I am still being harassed by collection agencies for the cancelation fee. Now a "collection fee" of $225 has been added. It's gotten to the point where not only am I going to retain a lawyer but also go to the media with this story.
Anyone have the corporate address and phone number? No one at any VW sales office wants to give it to me.

Allison,
I came across your posting while researching the VW corporate address for a similar issue. I am still in the process of resolving this. Were you able to find a contact at corporate?
Thanks so much!

CC'd copy to the Better Business Bureau, they forwarded this info to

Oh, Verizon is one of the worse cell phone companies I've ever dealt with. Every LG phone I've received from them has NEVER worked. I've tried and tried. In Oct. 2005, I was going thru this mess when someone offered me a new phone at a discount rate (after receiving 3 of the same previous LG that would NOT work). NOT ONCE did the rep ever say this would be considered an early upgrade. Not only that, she told me to activate my phone using their IVR system. She told me to ignore the 2 yr contract clause statement because she would document my account accordingly (which about 60% of the reps did find and agree with me).
As of June 22, I was supposed to be eligible for a phone upgrade, and being the NONE of the LG phones seem to work for me, I figured I'd change brands to see if that would help. I did the order on-line (as I do 99% of my transactions online). When I received the confirmation of order email, it stated that someone would need to sign for the phone. Well, I can't because I work during the day so I called and was trying to find out if I'd get an estimate or some sort of confirmation of shipping with a tracking # so I could make sure my daughter was there to sign. I don't know if it was because the individuals I was speaking with couldn't understand a lick of English or what the problem was but I ended up (after confirming I could do this), cancelling the internet order and going to the store to do the same thing. It was at this moment, the REAL nightmare began. I was advised I had done a phone upgrade in Oct and that I was not eligible for an upgrade at this time. Since then I've been on the phone with Verizon at least 3 times a day. The first phone call would be with someone who sees what I am talking about and says all they need to do is get a supervisor to adjust the dates. I lose that call (lovely reception to which they deny). I call back, get someone else who also sees it and refers me to a supervisor who says, they don't care what's been documented. Not only that, they don't care what a representative stated to me. If it's against their company, they WILL NOT honor it. Since then, they've changed the display of their website 5 (five) times. Not only that, out of 21 text messages the site states (and they confirm) I've received on my phone, I've only actually received 5. When I call them, they just say their records are accurate and refuse to do anything else. The LG phone I have now does not work barely. I cannot use the phone in my house, I cannot use the phone in my back yard, I cannot use the phone in my front yard. There are only 2 places I've been able to use my phone without fear of losing the signal. Once is standing outside my office in 110 degree weather, or while driving in my car. Sometimes, I can stand IN THE MIDDLE of my street and not lose the signal, however recently, even in my car, I'm losing the signal. One individual called me at work wanting to do testing. (She used my work phone #). Obviously, I couldn't do that. I'm at work so she asked if we could do this at my home to which I responded for the 100th or so time, that my phone DOES NOT work at home. When I sent an email on this issue, she responded saying I rejected her suggestion to test the phone at home, which was a complete lie and I responded indicating as such. I used to think another cell phone service was horrid because they wanted to charge me to go into their store to pay my bill. I've never dealt with such horrible CS in my life. They deny everything if it's against them and it's just horrid. I will be using the above address because this is just horrible.
