Hi!

I have upgraded to v6.8 rel20 of PC Suite that was released this April 2006. I dont have problem on users that have administrative priviledge using WIndows XP Prof, only on users that have User priviledge that I encounter this problem using bluetooth connection. Here is the error:

"Cannot use the connection type. Check that all the needed hardware, software, and drivers are available."

I didnt receive this error on admin users. Please help.

SOLUTION: Nokia PC Suite - Bluetooth Connection Problem : SOLUTION!

(for Windows XP users)

-> First of all, you NEED NOT INSTALL Windows XP SP2 for it. (There are alternative Solutions)

1. Install the latest Nokia PC Suite (03 Aug 2006) version 6.8
( http://www.nokia-asia.com/nokia/0,8764,78344,00.html )

2. The following Bluetooth types will work with Nokia PC suite 6.8, and nothing else:
• Microsoft Windows XP Bluetooth (included in Windows XP Service Pack 2)
• Toshiba Bluetooth Stack for Windows XP/2000 version 4.0
• Widcomm BTW 1.4, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0
• IVT BlueSoleil Bluetooth stack for Windows XP/2000, driver version 1.6.1.4 (or higher)

NOTE: Your Bluetooth software must be installed before you install Nokia PC Suite.

-> Hope it works now!

"I have done it successfully with Bluetooth - IVT BlueSoleil v. 1.6.4.0 and Nokia PC Suite 6.81.13"

I have a Nokia 6320
I have a MS6967 Blue Tooth Dongle USB

I have installed All th drivers or the Nokia and for The Blue Tooth

I can connect to the Nokia via the blue tooth software and transfere files from the phone to the PC using the blue tooth software

What I cannot do is make a connection between the nokia device manager and Nokia PC suite. When I select Blue Tooth and then configure the following message occurs

"Cannot Use the connection type. Check that all hardware and drivers are available"

SO what have I done wrong ?

I have the latest drivers updated so why is the nokia device manager being a pig ?

Any help would be truely grateful before I go icon_blink.gif
