Hiya, I'm trying to get a small quicktime movie onto my V3, I've exported it to mp4 which plays fine on my Mac but when I bluetooth it to the phone the picture is excellent but the sound doesn't play. Can anyone help, please?

The sound codec used in your mp4 movie is probably not supported by the V3. Try converting the mp4 to 3gp format.
You can download Xilisoft's 3gp Video Converter off of my FTP here.

Thanks Roger! I don't think that is Mac compatible, however, now I know what to look for I'll see if I can find a Mac version - if anyone could recommend anything I'd be eternally grateful!

I now have a Wesley Snipes video clip on my V3 - managed to do it from Quicktime but I couldn't have done it without your help, I'd never heard of 3gp before. Big thanx

Hi!
First of all, make sure it's a tiny clip. I used Quicktime Pro (available from Apple site) & exported it as 3gp which is the only video format the phone will accept as I recently discovered in this thread. I found the final clip needed to be not much more than about 400k.
Send file to phone via bluetooth in the same way you transfer photos. I'm using a Mac which isn't compatible with the Mobile Phone Tools CD that came with the phone but if you're on a PC you might find it easier to use that?
Good luck!

Using MPT you should be able to just connect to the phone and use the media center to push videos, pictures, or tones across. So yes it should be much easier for Win users to do such tasks then MAC users.

I don't think there is a limitation. I have successfully transferred a movie into my RAZR.
Does MPT come with Windows?
On the Mac, Apple supplies everything you need to do this. Look for "Bluetooth File Exchange" which is located in the Utilities folder for OS X. At first connection failed. I later realised that bluetooth can only be connected to one thing at a time, so I disconnected "BluePhoneElite" which is always in constant communication with my phone. Once that was done, connecting was easy.
My movie file was 2MB large! As a film maker, I love carrying around my stuff in my video iPod, but now I can have one or two favourite ones on my mobile phone.
One note: audio failed, unless I choose ANR-NB (Speech), the better quality settings would not work.
No Bluetooth phone should be without BluePhoneElite:

Absolutely amazing software!!!

No, MPT is a BVRP software, must be paid for. It would be nice if it came with Windows though.
