On Friday I left my phone on the commuter rail train, which a conductor fortunately found and I will get back tomorrow. However, I did some investigating over the weekend and found out I am eligilbe for new every two now so am thinking about a new phone. I live and work in greater Boston and travel mostly on the east coast. I have had a verizon phone since they were call Bell Atalntic Mobile. I have never had another carrier, but have been pretty disappointed with the quality of my reception lately. My phone is an old LG VX4400. Its battery has not been holding a good charge lately either so I think it is time to at least get a new phone. Do you think my call quality might be phone related or the area/carrier? Should I stick with Verizon? I use the cell as my primary phone (I do not have a land line) so battery life and reception are very important to me. If I stick with verizon I am looking at the LG VX 7000. Is it good for my usage? Any other suggestions? Thoughts?
PS the Camera is not that important to me. If I am planning to be shooting photos, I usually take either my Nikon Digital or SLR wth me. No phone can match those. Likewise at this point I could not give a rats behind about VCAST. It is phone dagnabit, not a minature TV.

Hrmm don't see that as an option from "my account" on their site. Do they still sell it?

For what it's worth, my wife & I both have Samsung a670's and use them as our primary phones (just got rid of landline a few weeks ago). Digital coverage is great where I am, so didn't have to worry about tri-mode. Didn't care about the camera either, but the 670's is pretty good. Have had them for just over a month now and couldn't be happier.
