from the user guide...itd doesnt appear you can send pictures via IR
Send and receive data using IR
You can set up your phone to send or receive data (such as business cards or calendarnotes) through its IR port. To use an IR connection, transmission and reception must be
to or from an IR-compatible phone or device.
Do not point the IR beam at anyone's eye or allow it to interfere with other IR devices.
This device is a Class 1 laser product.
1. Ensure that the IR ports of the sending and receiving devices are pointing at each
other and that there are no obstructions between the devices.
The preferable distance between the two devices in an IR connection is from 3
inches to 3 feet.

If I remember correctly it can be done with the Phone Browser of PC Suite (but I'm not sure).
The 3200 can send and receive stuff directly to the PC... shouldn't the 3205 have the same ability?

1) You can try download the latest Nokia PC suite from their website and try again
2) Try Mobile Media Browser
