easygprs is worthless?

how do i put ringtones on my e715 via easygprs. alternately, how do i pull pictures off of my phone using easygprs. when i have my cable set to data all i can do is send image to phone, and when i set it to dl, where i can get to the myphoto box and ringtone sending button because they finally arent greyed out, the program doesnt recognize my phone is there. whats the deal?

It is my understanding that once your phone is hooked up and easygprs recognizes it, you just do the following to download a photo from your phone to your pc.

Go to:

Tool > File Manager > My Phone > My Photo

i believe you set to 'D/L' for uploading/downloading in Easy GPRS. 'DATA' setting is only for flashing.

to upload ringtones/pictures, you can either click on the tool bar for that or press F9 (ringtones to phone) or F6 (images to phone).

file manager icon is also on the toolbar, right next to the ringtone and images upload icons.

the toolbar should be there, it's enabled by default. unless you disabled toolbard view, you should see the icons towards the end of the toolbar there.

You have it backwards....data for easy gprs, easy studio and using the phone as a modem. D/L is for flashing

Data is definately for easy GPRS, Never had to switch cable to D/L to flash. Only instance that I had to use the D/L side of the switch was when I was experimenting with IMEI modification.
