mines r1b008. i get the impression you have to goto a SE service center to hav the firmware upgraded unless if you do it your self you have to buy some sort of credit nd i think it may void your warranty, but i dont have one so theres nothin to lose DAn

To find out firmware, from main menu press
> * < < * < *
> means right joystick
< means left joystick
* means keypad star
then go to sw information
there are a lot of other cool stuff there. look around but be careful.

My T300 was originally a R1B008 firmware, but I just had it flashed a few days ago to R1G001. Unfortunately this didn't stop the phone from crashing every few minutes...

What do you mean by crashing every few mins. What does it exactly do? Also what difference is between the R1B001 and the R1GOO1 firmware that you noticed?
