Phone Model: Motorola V3 RAZR |

I am having a problem with this as well. I have MPT 3.25b on windows XP. I got XP to recognize the "motorola usb modem" and updated the drivers to the newest possible drivers. The Phone will begin to charge when it is plugged in via USB but MPT says it is not connected. Any ideas?
Also when I attempt to install the InterMedium Mobile-action program it gives me an error message "You need to restart the system, then execute the CD installation again. Please note: If the CABLE is already plugged into the PC's USB port, please unplug it before you click "OK". "
Clicking "OK" reboots the system

Hey guys i finally got everything working and thought I'd drop you guys some info. I am using a Motorola V3 Razr. Go here http://www.motomodders.net/Default.aspx?tabid=55&forumid=12&postid=176 837&view=topic
Follow these instructions exactly. If you can't get your phone to "change modes" in step 7, try doing what i had to do. Unplug the phone from your PC, and turn off the phone. Now do a GOOGLE search for RSD LITE 2.5. Its not hard to find. Install that and run the program. Now hold down the * and the # key and press the power button, hold all three buttons until your phone comes up with a black screen with white text. You are now in flash mode. Plug your phone back into your pc and it should ask for more drivers just like in step 7. You can now finish going by the guide in the link.
Another issue you may run into, wich mine does every time, is when running p2ktools the light stays red like your phone isnt connected. When this happens i simply run rsd lite again. most times youll hear the windows sound and in the list it will say connected. if not i just unplug and replug the phone to the pc. once you see the message in the box connected, close rsd lite and open p2ktools, the light should now be green.
Hope this helps some people out =)
oh another thing. should you end up breaking your phone like i did put your phone back in flash mode and run rsd lite. You can find the flash files here http://www.planetmotox.net/monster_packs.php
good luck!!

Go to tutorial section and there is a thread about deleting stock file and sound. You will need P2Kman and driver or PST for this job. |
Forgive me - I'm new to all of this. What is P2Kman and PST? I'm interested in deleting some of the ringers that came with my phone - they take up a ton of space! Any help you could offer would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Katums
