lol i hate my phone now after I found out I cant add mp3's lol anywayz thats not the problem. The problem is that everytime i try to call my voicemail by either holding down 1 or just dialing the number, it keeps on saying call failed. This also happens majority of the time when i call a long distance number. Before I had someone in my phone book with a longdistance number and i kept trying to call him but it kept saying call failed. Dialed the number by itself too but made no difference. So what I did was i changed the number in the phonebook to something else so it wont recognize the long distance number i have in the phonebook and then it called the person. so instead of saying for example calling Bill, it just said the number now and it worked after i tried the second time. lol. but for my voice mail it seems kind of silly how i cant call it with my cell. Someone help lol
thx

You usually get called failed when you have poor signal. If you have good signal when this happens it could either be a network issue or a problem with you phone. By the sounds of things (only specific numbers) its a problem with the network in your location. Try making calls lets say 8-10 miles from where you are and see if the problem is still happenening. If it isnt then you may need your Service Provider to log a Service Request for your area or look to see if there are any tower impairments that may be effecting you. If you have another phone available try your sim card in the other phone to see if the problem still happens also. Good Luck

not knowing who your service provider is, I cant narrow it very much... but Cingular has been updating voicemail servers since last fall on both their network and the former ATT...there are lost of people out there that have voicemail probs as a result of this... in a perfect world the phone would recieve the new Voicemail programming and the customer would no have to do anything... but the wold is far from perfect and as a result I program dozens of phones in the run of a day...
that could be your issue partly...
as for the phon number problem...(call failed)
that could have at lest 2 possible fixes... one being signal... the other being dialing pattern... personally I think it is the latter..............
most north american carriers now require 10 digit dialling...(area code + number) if they dont they will soon... if th tarriff zone in you service area has changed you may be reuired to do 11 digit dialling...
you may find it less frustrating to change you phonebook entries to 1+area code+ number or 11 digit dialling to conform to the soon to be national standard

I have T720 as well and I have cingular...All calls are normal usually if you use the 11 digit 1-XXX-XXX-XXXX and then that will work. If not try opcoding your bandwith. Try the 11 digit method then if nothing still come back for more info on the bandwith.

Well if your in canada where did your phone come from? I'd imagine its the bandwith but if you can't find out the bandwith to fix it then Yes, if you really do want it I suggest you get a new phone but hang on to the T720 and use it for testing or w/e.

Ok follow these steps and it will give you a format something like 850/1900/900/1850(last one I'm not sure) but goto: Menu->Settings->Phone Status->Other Information->Technology : Now im not sure what its supposed to be for you but mine reads 850/1900

Ok, where do you live? If its in the US(not including canada) it should be as is, otherwise it should be reversed. Look through the tips and tricks and look for opcoding.
