No that shouldn't matter...unless att doesn't have aim which i know it does. Your provider could be the only problem at this point if your settings are all correct. Cruise it out on one of your reps just make sure you don't let them screw with it and cause you to pay for it...(not worth the time or money unless you really want it)

yeah not all plans have the AIM service intact, with my old plan i could never connect and now with my new plan and phone it works everytime so definetly contact someone

Well you heard the man...ITS UP TO YOU...If AIM is that valuable to you go to att and revise your contract, if not leave it at that and wait till the agreement is up and if you resign then get aim on the new plan. GOOD LUCK AND BESTWISHES.
