JSS,
Thanks again, the reason I asked is because I work for a different wireless carrier and we can view which states are on which voice mail platform.. One last question.. (promise!) Will my number show up on their handset or anything if I send vmail that way..
Have a Good One!

it shouldn't. the handset is only interpretational to what it receives. since the VM forward is an inter-server exchange, the source number is never introduced to the MTSO.....short version icon_smile.gif it can only show up on the handset if the handset is actually getting a call thus why it will never show a missed call when the handset is shut off.

be careful though, if your using this for dubious deeds, it could be traced from your box. if it's a practical joke...hey, all the better but if your doing something...bad-ish...it could be found somehow if not directly traced from the box depending on the platform provider.

for the record, questions are always cool... icon_smile.gif

Thanks JSS,

Not doing it for bad-ish reasons at all, long story... it is someone I know but don't necessarily want to talk to them, just a kind of hey how are things going kind of thing...so if they did try to research (which they are not that savey it is ok cause they know me and my mobile # anyway) thats all, not some "crazy" person or nothing, know what I mean....
By the way, you must work tech support cause some of those terms are "WAY" over my head!!
Thanks again and have a good one! icon_smile.gif

in the cingy vs VZ thread, i mentioned my job (but, well..it was just osted 2 seconds ago...hehe)...i used to work in tech support but now in biz/corp support.

tech was great and i loved it cuz it fed my brainiac part and was challenging but as will anyone 'on line'..you have to talk to actual people......in biz/gov support, the exchanges are much more professional and to the point....no extended discussions about why the 'city of goobersville' is charging 2 more cents on taxes...if ya know what i mean......................
