Hello Guys,
I have been having a problem with my Nokia 6230's bluetooth for some time now, however my bluetooth has worked before this problem but now it is not and I do not know what to do in order to correct it!
Everytime I go to "Send a File" to my computer everything works - my mobile phone and computer can "recognise" each other, however when I try to transfer the file e.g. a picture I get the following:
"The system detected an invalid pointer address in attempting to use a pointer argument in a call."
I do not have a clue what this means, but I do know that its an error message since I do not complete the transfer.
I have tried re-installing the software, but the same thing occurs.
Has anyone else had this problem? Can anyone help?
Regards,
Stefan

it sounds like the issue is your PC...
have you recently changed anti-virus or firewalls?
have you checked for bad sectors (the invalid pointer tells me its the FAT table possibly)
have you had the registry checked (assuming you use windows)
hope this helps

Hello There,
Thank you for responding back.
I have not recently changed firewalls or anti-virus so I know that it is not that.
I have checked for bad sectors and everything was okay, but the problem still persists!
I do not know how to check the registry so could you explain in further detail?
I tried again today (but decided to receive a file to my mobile opposed to sending one) and got the following message:
"The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond."
"If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed."
So could the bluetooth problem actually be with my Nokia 6230?
Regards,
Stefan

hi..
I have this problem, Using win xp sp2, trying to transfer data through Blurtooth Dongle from PC to Phone but wenever I try to do it.. It gives following msg..
The file transfer failed because the receiving Bluetooth computer or device did not respond.
If you sent the file to another Windows XP computer, that computer must be running the Bluetooth File Transfer Wizard. If you sent the file to a Bluetooth device, make sure the OBEX File Push Profile is installed..
Though both fone n computer detect n pair each other wen i try to send data this error is coming ..
This same fone n dongle was working fine on WinXP Sp1 ...
