I got the motorla V3 for about 10 days now, but last night it just shut down by itself and now it wont turn on again. I left the phone on for about 3 days, the battery fully charged. Last night before I was to go to bed, I was about to set the alarm on the phone and that when I realized the phone was dead. At first I thought the battery somehow drained itself, so I plugged it into the charger. Once I plug it in the phone showed the charging bar, so I went on to turn the phone on BUT as soon as the phone was booting up and the screen showed "registering" that shut off. Since then I couldnt get it to turn on no matter what I do.
Anyone know whats the problem? dead battery? dead internal battery? charging system malfunction? please help....

If no modification and or upgrade of firmware has been performed, sounds like a defect from phone. Exchange it for another if that is possible.

nothhing been change or modified to the phone. Just 10 days old only thing i've done was took a few pics, uploaded a pic for wallpaper, ringtones...etc just all the normal stuff.
I'm going try to bring it back, but I know the store policy is no exchange however they will fix it for me. But I just dont want to give up the phone for who knows how long. So was hoping that someone here know what the problem is and are able to help me out
Thanks

Something like this would require reflashing of the firmware. Since it is fiarly new, I would try the store first before doing it yourself.

Ok my phones do this too on dead batterys. What you do is plug it in and let it charge for 6 hours for a full battery. If it doesn't work still then yes its either a dead phone or battery. You shouldn't try to boot it when its charging onna low battery because it doesn't have sufficient power to start.

well the battery was fully charged when it died and i tried to charge it up again. However nothing works. I dont know how I can flash the phone when it wont even turn itself on, nor i want to trade since it is new. But yeah I took it back to the store and they first gonna see what is wrong then try to fix it. And if they can't then I get a new phone. now i wont have a phone for at least a week, or maybe upto 1 month

This is why I like gsm world phones. I can use my active sim card and pop it in in another phone to use. A backup phone if you will.

1 month is ridiculous. I send phones back to Motorola regularly and even they get it back in 1 week....usually.

Well if they are sending a replacement go to the store and see if you can't pick up one of there 50c prepaid phones and buy like 10 mins worth, or just find out if someone has a extra phone to last you over. Or just wait patiently if its not that important.
