I wanted to change mine but didn't know how to do it  ... BUT... 
What I did was edit the names of the groups (swapped family and VIP around. So now when my better half phones me,  's come up instead of crowns. 
I had to sort out all the names into the correct caller groups but at the moment it was the only way I could do it.  Long winded I know... either that or wait for Nokia to re-do the software? no contest...

when i used to have the 8390... i could change the caller id.. but now with the 7250.. im unable to... actually i personally didnt change it on my 8390.. a friend did... it was pretty neat..

I did change the Caller groups logo on 8310 with LogoManager. I dont know if is working for color phones. But on 8310/8210/3310/etc...old phones is working. try and see.

In the phones like 8310, 5210 etc, changing caller groups was possible, even via ir. Don't think that's possible in the newer colour display phones.
