Maybe I'm overlooking something obvious, but is it possible to use the speakerphone while the phone is closed? When I close mine, it hangs up. Thanks.

the phone isnt meant to be a speakerfone. u probably did the little trick.

the 6100? definitely comes with speakerphone out of the box. all i do is press "up" on the direction pad to activate & deactivate it.

I have a different LG model but I think I recall there being a menu option for answering a call via END button, ANY button, or when the phone opens. Maybe this setting, if available for your phone, will enable speaker phone while closed.

I've found a way, though sort of clumbsy, to use my 6100 in speakerphone while closed.
While in conversation, with the speakerphone turned on, plug a headset into the phones headset jack. With the cord plugged in, close the phone. The conversation will continue through the handsfree device until you unplug it from the phone. When you unplug the headset, the audio will now come through the external speaker with the phone closed.
You can also originate the call with a headset, just be sure to press the up arrow to activate the speaker before you close it. If not, when you close the flip and unplug, it will not end the call but the audio will only be through the earpiece and not the external speaker. You cannot adjust the volume or choose to end the call, though, without opening up the flip. Make sure the speakerphone volume is turned up very first.
