I read earlier today that PDA's could record the IR-signal from a key to a car and therefore unlock it without the key. A security issue of couse.
But i wonder if its possible to use the IR-port at my T610 to control the TV, i think ive read it somewhere...

that would be cool sure but I don't think it is possible.
First, I think I read somewhere that the platforms (java, mophun) on the T610 don't allow the program to access hardware like the IR port.
If it's true, well, can't have a program to do the remote...
Second, it will also depend on the power of the IR port.
On some PDA (not all!), the IR port can beam up to 3-5 meters so it's fine for remote usage but that uses power.
I think it's not the case on the T610 as it's a mobile device and they must have reduced the power of the IR port in order to get extra battery life.
Well, the test is simple put the T610 at 2 or 3 meters from the IR port of your computer and try to send something from the T610...
I'm afraid it won't work...

totally correct, currently no java application supports this feature, and memory on the t610 wouldnt support this application anyway, plus u would have 2 go right up to the tv with your mobile 2 change channel, ud b as well just hiting button on tv 2 change channel, ud b that close
