They do not support the v80 and want to go with v600 settings. will this work? They want me to do a master reset.
Menu-
Settings-
Initial setup-
Master reset-
Security code 000 000
then Yes
Will this work on the v80? |
the v600 and V80 are both WAP 2 devices... the settings will work...a master reset wont hurt anything

op code changed, factory reset, it will not let me drop the t-zone info they sent the 1st time that did not work and set as a default. Am I running out of options? They keep telling me that since it is a foreign phone I may not be able do this. I am going crazy. Any more suggestions?

No that things gone I don't remember what happend I think I gave it to someone that had Tmo. But no I never got it unlocked. If I'm not right you needed the serial cable for the MSS method...I still don't have a serial cable if I could find one maybe I could fix my 2nd T720. But back on topic I don't know but you should try going the the site and getting the WAP settings from there.

hey all, im new here
i just recently bought a motorola v80 and i think its cool. The swivel part seems kinda unsturdy though. Will it be a durable phone, and more durable than the V620. i want a new phone because i just like switching btween the two. Also, how can i connect to the cCngular network and buy ringtones. I have a Cingular plan, but i cant seem to buy ringtones. Please help me with that. Also, what does the firmware upgrade do to the V80 and how can i download that?
what cables do i need to download the firmware and put mp3 ringtones on my phone? where can i get the correct cable and software.(only ebay please).

*UPDATE* -- I did finally get it fixed. It was just a matter of calling tmobile SEVERAL times and having the signal sent repeatedly until they gave me their higest tech dept and I finally got the right guy. He immediately noticed something off in the configuration, fixed it and all is well. So, just keep calling if you have this issue, it can be fixed. They just treated it like the v600. Thanks for the help.
