hi! wonder if anyone has the same sentiments as me. Generally, all Nokia phones are cool in terms of design and function. BUT... almost all Nokia phones fail miserably in the aspect of dust resistance. I notice all the Nokia phones I've owned and used so far trap dust and dirt very easily. My latest model - the N6100, which I jus purchased two days ago- is no exception.

For sure! This a big concern of mine, I HATE having so much dust under the screen!
What works best is taking it apart and cleaning it off with a microfiber cloth.
In case you don't know, microfiber is the strongest and least abrasive material - it was developed by NASA. The strongest and softest NATURAL fiber is silk, but microfiber still leads the way.
The best place to get one would be from a woodwind instrument shop - I use a microfiber cloth to clean my $4000 clarinet... So if it's good enough for that, it's good enough for my 6610 too!

and to get rid of dust trapped in the sneeky places (i dunno what this is caleld in the US, or if you guys have it) in New Zealand we call it blu-tack
its sorta like pasticine but you you use to 'tack' stuff together... a bit like pay-doh etc with a slightly sticky feel.
I get a little bit, and rool it everywhere to stick off the dust bits then throw it away.
wollah~ phone looking new and clean again

Not all, but the one with express-on covers.
My old 6210 had a non changeable cover and was very resistent against dust.

I would recommend compressed-air in a can. You can get it in a camera accessories shop. I once have worked in one. They use it to clean up the camera from dust and it works perfectly.
But be carefull with the display. Maybe it couldn't resist the pressure

yeah, but as James mentioned, dont use it on the LCD screen, they cant take much pressure... the cloth still comes handy on the screen, but everywhere else... all the tricky areas works a treat

The best dust cleaner I have used on these phones and any sensitive electronics are microfiber cloths made by Luminex, Japan, and for the LCD a felt-tip lens cleaner. Although, you have to be careful not to put too much pressure on the LCD so it doesn't break. The felt-tip lens cleaner that I use has a soft brush on the other end and it's very helpful cleaning dust along the groves of the phone and the keypad.
