I have the v551 from att and now i am with cingular i want to use the phone but its locked with att. Can anyone tell me how i can unlock this v551 phone? Help Please!

You dont, I work at a cell store and we have a older version of a flash-box and it does not work. I will work on V505, V600, V300, almost all the V-Series phones BUT the V551. I fried my own trying to Data cable unlock (via MPT & P2K) but it made the phone D E A D. The only suggestion I have would be call cingular and first, make sure the right IMEI is on file, then tell them you are going overseas to help the TSuami victims and the group you are going with is providing pre-paid sim cards. *After doing this lie, I would donate some money to the red cross or something - its called karma* They should call you with a subsidy code in a few days.

Agree that this is a very good question. After all, Cingular bought AT&T Wireless and they will transition your service over. V551s work just fine with Cingular. Just call Cingular customer svc.

Needs to be done with Smartclip, I the unofficial word at this point is cingular is not giving out and more subsidy codes. That model cannot be unlocked by code. Email old fool if you want him to unlock, the catch is you need to send it to him because your phone needs to be physically connected to his smartclip.
