first of all...do not have your battery plugged in. even though the phone is off, there is current running thru the phone and could increase or promote corrosion inside. i notice on the back that there are 4 or 5 small phillips screws on the back. depending on where most of the coffee got too, the front may be difficult to opening or service since it's a new style and i'm unfamiliar with taking apart sliding mechanisms. the back part of the phone should come off like any other samsung. the screws come out first and the housing can be gently popped opened. there's little clips along the perimeter of the phone. from there, you should be able to at least clean with alcohol or electrical circuit cleaners (can't remember the brand). unlike water, you can let the coffee dry and just go about using the phone. the dried up coffee will cause shorts in the phone. you can just let the water dry and go back to using the phone.
i did some searches on google but unable to find any reference to taking apart the d500.

Hi guys, I dropped my phone into water 2 daus ago. Got it out as soon as I could and dried it out as best I could. Phone appears to be fully dry now but it's still not working. I charged the battery and connected it. When the battery was charging everything looked fine, screen came on and battery charging display was on however when the battery was fully charged I tried turning hte phone on and the initial boot screen would flash up and then everything would go off. The boot screen would continue to flash up until I eventually disconnected the battery. Is my phone jiggered? or is there anything I can do.
Please guys, any advice would be very much appreciated.
