if the battery is bad call them they usualy always send out a new one at no charge

THe thing about discharging and charging, to get the full effect, you may have to do that for a few cycles, then it should be fine.

My battery life stinks. I can't go 24 hours on a phone that's less than 2 months old without the battery running out. The guy at the Cingular store asked if I charged it overnight. When I said 'yes' he said that was probably the problem because now all the phones are using "quick chargers." Sounds like baloney to me. The v551 manual says I can leave it plugged in after I charge it and it should be fine. I agree the battery life stinks.

yes, it sucks. Mine has always sucked, right out of the box. I've got my V551 4 months ago. It's gone thru plenty of charge/discharge cycles.
Quick charge? That's a laugh. It takes a good 4 or 5 hours for my battery to charge up completely...
